This download contains three lotion bar variations! The main recipe is the Lotion Bar Base, which can be customized to your heart's content. The recipe contains a lot of information about formulating lotion bars, my favorite combination of oils and beeswax, the recipe (plus a large-batch recipe with tips and tricks!) and information on phototoxic essential oils. The base recipe comes with three variations, including Natural Beeswax, Citrus, and Lavender, which we sold for many years.
This is a comprehensive 12-page PDF download, which includes a two-page quick recipe that you can easily print and a full step-by-step instruction guide.
This is a beginner-friendly recipe, and you do not need experience making lotion bars. You will need to use a stovetop to make this, and the oils get very hot, so supervision is required for younger children.
Essential oils used in these recipes:
- none needed, but you can use orange, lemon, and lavender for the variations.
This recipe is the exact recipe we use to make our lotion bars that we've been selling for several years! We won't be making them again, so we've decided to share it with all of you!

The lotion bar is wonderful. The price is more than it’s worth. Really, I just needed the ratios.
Hi there! I'm so happy you like the lotion bar recipe and I'm sorry you feel like the price isn't worth it. Whether someone wants to pay for a recipe that results in a great product is subjective, but my take is that if you're a business and you sell even one or two more lotion bars because people love the product, then you've made your money back! :) Whether you're a business or you're making lotion bars for fun, it still saves you a lot of time and ingredients to buy a great recipe from the start, rather than having to test a lot of free online recipes that just don't work. In addition, our recipes were formulated over many years of trial and error, so you get the experience of someone who has been doing this for ten years. Finally, the amount you pay is also for the time that was spent by us to not only create the original recipe but to put it all together as a pdf and offer it to you. We try to really educate in our PDFs and include information that might be helpful to you when you branch out to make your own products. I understand that this isn't valued by everyone, but hopefully you learned a thing or two along the way. In addition, we offer free support for all our recipes. We feel like all this, in addition to plenty of free content that we provide, hopefully makes up for the $10 you paid. Just wanting to explain for others that may be on the fence, as your opinion on the price is completely valid and I appreciate the feedback. But, if we didn't charge for our recipe, we wouldn't be able to do what we do. This is how we make our living after all. :)

I have tried many recipes and store-bought lotion bars. I have always loved Simi's lotion bars and the recipe is just as perfect. It turns out really smooth, creamy, but not greasy. Super easy to make too. Love it! :-)
