This download is like 8 recipes in one! The main recipe is the Face Soap Base, which can be customized to your heart's content. A few years ago, I set out to make a face soap that wasn't drying to the skin and was gentle enough for the face but could also be used on your body. This recipe is the result of a lot of research and hard work and it has been field tested to rave reviews! The base recipe comes with seven additional variations, including Shea & Clay and Lemon Turmeric, which we sold for many years. The original idea behind this base recipe is that we would use it for a line of face soaps, which we never got around to, so I've included our dream line-up of face soaps with all the ingredients and essential oil blends!
First up is a variation on our Charcoal & Tea Tree soap, called Lavender Charcoal. Second is our Tea Tree & Rose soap, using this face soap base. Then, I've created three more variations that I've had in my head (but never tried) that I'm excited to share with you. They include: Rose Clay & Oatmeal, French Green Clay, and Pumpkin & Honey. This means that you can make eight different soaps with this single download!
All these soaps are gentle and formulated with the face in mind, but feel free to add your own twist and create your own combinations! Most are unscented, but we include essential oil options for Lemon Turmeric, Lavender Charcoal, Tea Tree & Rose, and French Green Clay.

Please note that this is a beginner friendly recipe, but do not purchase unless you're confident that you can do the following:
- make and use a 50/50 lye-water solution (instructions included)
- use additional liquids (like carrot juice and coconut milk)

If you've made soap before, you shouldn't have any trouble following the instructions, even if you've never made a 50/50 lye-water solution. We walk you through all the steps but having a few batches under your belt will definitely benefit you!
This recipe is the exact recipe we use to make our Shea & Clay and Lemon Turmeric face & body soaps that we've been selling for several years! We won't be making them again, so we've decided to share it with all of you!
