This is NOT a physical product. This listing is for a downloadable PDF file of our Honey Lemon soap recipe.
This soap was a main product line soap for years and was our number one bestselling soap in 2023, making up 10% of our sales!
BONUS RECIPE: This recipe also includes our Goat Milk & Oatmeal recipe, which was our bestselling unscented soap.
This soap recipe is all-natural and palm-oil free! It is not vegan as it contains goat milk and honey. You could use coconut milk (or another plant-based milk) and maple syrup or agave nectar as a substitute.
Honey Lemon soap is a twist on the traditional Oatmeal Milk & Honey soap. Scented only with pure essential oils, this soap contains fresh goat milk, soothing colloidal oatmeal, and raw honey. It smells warm and bright and lemony!
This recipe is great for a beginner that wants to experiment with using goat milk and try a more complex (but easy) essential oil blend! The color in this soap is simply from the honey and benzoin resinoid!
This is a comprehensive 12-page PDF download, which includes a one-page quick recipe that you can easily print and a full step-by-step instruction guide. We also include the recipe calculator from soapcalc.net.
Please note that this is a beginner recipe but is not intended for a brand new soapmaker! Do not purchase unless you're confident that you can do the following:
- make and use a 50/50 lye-water solution (instructions included)
- use additional liquids (goat milk)
Essential oils used in this recipe:
- lemon 5x (or regular), litsea cubeba, lavender, benzoin resinoid
If you've made soap before, you shouldn't have any trouble following the instructions, even if you've never made a 50/50 lye-water solution. We walk you through all the steps but having a few batches under your belt will definitely benefit you!
This recipe is the exact recipe we use to make our Honey Lemon soap that has been part of our main product line for years. Since we won't be making it very often, we've decided to share it with all of you!
You may NOT share or re-sell this recipe PDF. You are welcome to make and sell the soap you make from this recipe, with credit to Muddy Mint. You may also call your soap Honey Lemon and let people know that it's the same soap we used to make!
