This is NOT a physical product. This listing is for a downloadable PDF file of our Salted Honey soap recipe.
This is a brine or soleseife soap with sea salt added to the hot lye-water. This results in a smooth hard bar that has more of a lotion-like lather. This is not a sea salt soap, so it doesn't have the same complications of sea salt bars, but it provides some of the same attributes as a sea salt soap.
The blend of essential oils in this soap is divine! We use clary sage, which is really lovely in soap and shines in this blend.
This is a comprehensive 11-page PDF download, which includes a two-page quick recipe that you can easily print and a full step-by-step instruction guide.
Please note that this is an intermediate recipe! Do not purchase unless you're confident that you can do the following:
- work with hot lye-water, including adding sea salt to the lye-water
- optionally use your immersion blender to mix the salt into the lye-water
Essential oils used in this recipe:
- orange, clary sage, and lemon
If you've made soap before, you shouldn't have any trouble following the instructions, even if you've never made a brine soap before. We walk you through all the steps, but having a few batches under your belt will definitely benefit you!
This recipe is the exact recipe we use to make our Salted Honey soap that we've been selling for several years! We won't be making it again, so we've decided to share it with all of you!
You may NOT share or re-sell this recipe PDF. You are welcome to make and sell the soap you make from this recipe, with credit to Muddy Mint. You may also call your soap Salted Honey and let people know that it's the same soap we used to make!
