The PDF download contains a lot of information about formulating body butters plus our exact whipped body butter recipe with a YouTube video link. We include a technique for making larger batches and go through each step in detail. The recipe also includes information on where we purchase our ingredients and supplies to make this body butter. The base recipe comes with seventeen variations, which includes almost every single scent we have ever sold. Any scent that I had written in my notes in writing was included!

The scents included are: lavender, pink grapefruit, orange blossom, wild lavender, lavender juniper, wildflower honey, spicy chai, mountain man, winter pine, lavender lime, bergamot lime, orange & bergamot, Bulgarian rose, jasmine, neroli, roman chamomile, and blue tansy. The first three scents are our main body butter scents, the following nine scents are seasonal, and the last five are luxury scents that include a secret formulation trick!

This is a beginner-friendly recipe, and you do not need experience making body butters Note that a stand mixer is recommended but not required. You can make this with a hand mixer as well, but it may not whip up quite as well. It'll still be a great body butter though!

I don’t know what went wrong…

I don’t know what went wrong….all three batch attempts were not successful. I followed recipe to the T. I watched the YouTube video four times! Issues to various degrees…1) after one day, oil separation. 2). Body butter was more like a pump cream. One positive note: they’re moisturising. Any feedback regarding possible causes would be deeply appreciated. So sad because the ingredients were pricey to end up with non whipped body cream.

Hi Sandra! I'm so sorry your attempts were unsucessful! I wish you have reached out to me after your first failure and before leaving a review here. I have all my contact information on the last page of the recipe and highly encourage everyone to email me with any issues. If you followed the recipe exactly, my guess is that the issue was with one of your ingredients. If I had to guess, you may have used the wrong kind of avocado butter. The avocado butter I use is from New Directions Aromatics and it is a blend of soy butter and avocado oil. This ingredient is key for getting the right texture. Please email me at the email on the last page of the download and I'd be happy to troubleshoot this with you! So many people have made this recipe successfully, so there has to be an explanation. There's no way the body butter should separate or feel like a cream, as the ingredients on their own are mostly completely solid, so it doesn't make sense. We can figure this out!

Whipped Body Butter

Purchased this recipe & I've made my first batch. Its a beautiful body butter, so light & fluffy & as Simi has said, its more like a mousse texture & I live it. I made mine using the lovely Orange Blossom Blend that is included with the recipe.There is so much helpful information included when you purchase this recipe, that you really can't go wrong if you follow the rules. Love all the fragrance blends included too. The only downside for me personally is the very high cost of Avocado Butter over here in New Zealand, cost 40 NZD for enough to make a half batch size & that equates to around 70 USD

I just purchased the recipe and I can't wait to make it. It will be my first body butter attempt. I'll let you know how it turns out, oh and also my first adventure and doing piping i'll probably wear most of it trying to pipe. LOL
